Have I mentioned before how much I love to knit?

Have I further mentioned, how in love with the fulling/felting process I am?

It is a fantastically magical compositional change in the wool and it completely ROCKS!!

I spent most of the time knitting this in the car while my husband

drove us on various trips visiting the families and the rest

of the time knitting the days I was at the hospital with my mom.

I'll be using it to hold knitting projects! Shocking, I know!

Star blocks for weeks 1 & 2 of Crazy Mom Quilts Quilt A Long.

I'm pretty pleased with my fabric selection for these, although
my photography doesn't show the beauty of the blues.

The instructions for week 3 were posted this morning
and I'm hoping to get that block completed this evening.

I finished this present for the little peoples' preschool assistant!

She's ending her duties early in order to finish up a degree.

These are the coasters I made from this pattern.

Oh the life...

Let me tell you, now I'm on a roll.

One chest cold, stomach bug and plenty of sleep later! I'm finally on a roll!

I've been working on Crazy Mom Quilts quilt along, gifts for the babysitters, a gift for the teacher assistant and the Lucy bag! Tons more ideas in the works!

Only 5 more afternoons scheduled before I'm finished working for the summer. What's not to love about the college schedule?

I'll be back to show you some actual progress tomorrow.

Turn off Your TV Week!

We did it!
Day 7 of "Turn off Your TV WEEK"!
We rock...
Our kids don't watch all that much anyway, just a few shows on Noggin.
Even HobbyHubby and I haven't watched a thing.
It is easy when we realize how the TV is just on for noise in the evenings anyway.
I'd like to say that we got so much more done around here...
The truth is that we both just read more, which is a good thing!
We are thinking of opting for no TV Monday through Friday as a permanent rule....
We went years without cable so this shouldn't be such a stretch...
